Our roster of returning pros is led by Lorraine Klippel, LPGA Master Professional and Director of Golf. As in previous years, Lorraine will be splitting her time between our Bumble Bee Hollow East facility in Harrisburg, and our Golf Academy at Penn National Golf Club in Chambersburg. Lorraine will be teaching and doing clubfittings at the 'East' on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and at Penn National on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Her schedule is subject to change for weekend golf schools. Leslie VanSyckle, an LPGA Class ‘A’ Member, is returning at the end of March for her third season. She'll be teaching and clubfitting at the 'East' on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. She is also available upon request for scheduled playing lessons at Penn National.
LORRAINE
GARMAN KLIPPEL –
Director of Golf More recently, in 1996 Lorraine won the Senior Division of the LPGA's National Championship for Teaching and Club Professionals, carding a final day 68 on the difficult Chateau course at the Chateau Elan Resort and Winery in Braselton, GA. She has contributed
articles to Golf Digest, Golf for Women, Tee Time, and Pennsylvania
Magazine and has been a presenter at numerous national symposiums.
She holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan
with majors in physical education and mathematics, and a Masters of Science
in biomechanics from Penn State University. Lorraine is available for
lessons by appointment at both facilities. LESLIE
VAN SYCKLE Leslie is a past-President of the NorthEast Section of the LPGA's Teaching & Club Professional Division, and recently ran for national President. She has brought her strong administrative and excellent teaching skills to Bumble Bee Hollow for the summer, assisting Lorraine in every capacity. Leslie and Lorraine have been playing partners since they both reached senior tour status, and have four national team championships to their credit. Leslie graduated from Baldwin Wallace College and has a masters degree in performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Prior to becoming a golf professional
in 1986, she was a concert French horn player with the Alabama Symphony.
When not in residence in Camp Hill, Leslie and her sister, Jill, share
their Florida home with 4 cats. RON
JONES Ron grew up in a house located on Range End Golf Club and attended Northern High School, where he was high school district champion in 1969, as well as Range End club champion. He accepted his first position in the golf industry as an assistant professional at The Country Club of York, York, PA. Since then Ron has held management positions at Foxfire Country Club in Naples, FL and, more recently, at Sedona Golf Resort in Arizona where he was Head Professional and Director of Instruction for 12 years, running a successful clinic and developmental program. He is also an experienced clubfitter and is certified by several equipment manufacturers to fit their clubs. For the last five years Ron has been speaking nationally on subjects related to personal development and self-growth. If you are having problems with the "mental" aspect of the game of golf, he can be of great assistance. He is currently nearing completion of a golf instructional book entitled Conceptual Golf: What All Great Players Understand, and looks forward to its future release.
