 Bumble
Bee Hollows' miniature golf courses are among the most beautiful and most
challenging in Central Pennsylvania. Designed principally as putting tracts
which mimic the subtle contours of real golf greens, our miniature courses
are enjoyed by serious golfers as well as recreational players. Their
lovely landscaping and water features are a fine enhancement to the courses
themselves, and are cause for our many repeat plays.
The miniature golf courses are open year 'round, weather permitting, and
can be reserved for birthday parties, church groups, scout troops, and
other types of private outings. Refreshments are available from our Snak
Shak (West) and adjoining Subway restaurant (East) during the summer season.
Frequent Player Cards for Miniature Golf
This spring both facilities will be offering Frequent Player cards for
our miniature golf aficionados. Each 12 paid rounds of mini-golf will
entitle card holders to two free rounds. Card holders who pay for guests
may include their guests' rounds toward the required 12 rounds. Frequent
Player cards are a great idea for couples or families who play often –
a family of four would need to play just three times to be eligible for
two free rounds. Cards will be honored at both East and West courses,
and free rounds may be played at either. Year 2001 Frequent Player cards
will be valid through December and are available in the pro shops immediately.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Anyone can have a birthday party at Bumble Bee Hollow! For a fixed fee
per person, one of three packages is available. The package includes
a round of miniature golf for each participant plus some combination
of food items. The cost per person varies with the time of day, the
day of the week, and the age of the player (see below). Although most
of our scheduled parties are held for younger children, teenagers and
senior citizens enjoy hosting their friends at Bumble Bee Hollow on
their special days. [Teenagers pay adult prices; seniors pay child prices.]

PUTTING
FOR GOLD, GLORY, and BUMBLE BEE HOLLOW!
Harris Miniature Golf Courses, Inc., a leading builder of miniature golf
courses, developed the Harris Cup National Miniature Golf Championship
with the owners of their courses and charity organizations in mind. The
Harris Cup National Miniature Golf Championship was hosted in 2001 by
Lahey Family Fun Park in Clarks Summit, PA, benefiting the Make A Wish
Foundation.
Players from around the country qualified for the championship by winning
tournaments at their local miniature golf courses built by Harris. In
addition to the $5,000 in prize money, split among the top four finishers,
one player also got to try for a $10,000 hole in one. Kyle Weller of Sittler
Golf Center in Kutztown, PA had the crowd on the edge of their seats as
he hit his putt. Laney Nelms, representing Hackers Golf Park in Statesboro,
Georgia, brought the Harris Cup and a check for $2,000, home to Georgia
by putting a 44 (7 under par) at the inaugural competition.
Because the miniature golf course at Bumble Bee North is a Harris construction,
we are eligible to hold elimination tournaments to send our own challengers
to the national championship. It’s our intention to mount a series
of qualifiers at all three Bumble Bee Hollow courses to identify the golfers
who will play-off for a chance to represent us at Nationals at the end
of the summer. The play-offs will be held at our Harris course in Elizabethville.
Information about the challenge rounds will be posted on our website and
at our miniature golf courses as it becomes available.
