Bumble Bee Hollow has accounts with the most major manufacturers and suppliers of professional golf equipment. We carry Cobra, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Lynx, Tommy Armour, Hogan, Ram, Cleveland, Spalding, Square Two, and Diawa clubs in our shop, and have several other lines available on a special order basis. Our golf bag suppliers are Hot-Z, Sun Mountain, Datrek, and Jones, as well as the major club companies. Our extensive golf shoe selection includes styles from Foot-Joy, Dexter, Lady Fairway, Etonic, Nike, and Rockport.
Bumble Bee Hollow in the NEWS! Bumble Bee Hollow Golf Center was mentioned in two separate issues of Golf for Women magazine this season. The August issue feature our Owner/ Director of Golf, Lorraine Klippel, in an article titled "Movers and Shakers: meet five golf insiders whose ideas and ideals are changing the game for the better." In the current issue (October 2001), Bumble Bee Hollow is listed among the 25 Top Shops for women golfers. The shops were broken into five categories: Women's only; Off-course; On-course; Resort; and Apparel. Our shops were chosen as one of five winners in the Off-course category because "... the off-course store is where most of us do our big-ticket shopping, so we paid extra attention to women's club, bag, and shoe offerings in this category." They were impressed by our inventory selection, our expert clubfitting, and our level of service.
Our Holiday Gift to You!
As a token of our
gratitude for the wonderful customer support and
loyalty that we have enjoyed in 2001, we are
offering prizes to seven lucky winners of our
Holiday Shopper Drawing. To be eligible to enter the
drawing, you must make a $25 minimum purchase in our
pro shop between November 1st and December 24th.
Each purchase entitles you to one entry in the
drawing. Gift certificates and Range Discount Cards
are eligible purchases, as well as pro shop
merchandise. First, second, and third prizes will be
awarded at each location, after which one Grand
Prize winner will be drawn from the combined
entries. Prizes are:
FREE GREENS FEES! As has been our tradition for many years, we will once again offer free greens fees with every Frugal Fred or Thrifty Thelma range discount card purchased between Thanksgiving and December 31st. Purchase any denomination range card between these dates and we will stamp it for a free greens fee with each bucket...A terrific stocking stuffer becomes an even better holiday gift value! PS - all Range Discount cards may now be used interchangeably between both facilities. Personalized Golf Balls Top-Flight, Titleist, and Wilson are all, once again, waiving their imprinting fees for personalized golf balls ordered for the holidays. With each company you may print up to three lines of text on the ball in block letters. This is your opportunity to impress every golfer on your gift list with his or her own name and/or holiday message. This year each company's offering is slightly different: Top-Flite - Order 4 dozen of any of the XL 2000 series with any imprint, receive the 5th personalized dozen free. Order 3 dozen of any of the Strata balls m(except the Tour Ultimate) with any imprint, get the 4th personalized dozen free. Black ink only. (Each dozen balls may have a different message, but the minimums per order must be met.)
Wilson - Any Wilson golf ball can be personalized for the holidays, but there is a 6 dozen minimum per imprint. (E.g., "Happy Holidays from the Waltons" is a single imprint which must be put onto at least 6 dozen balls.) Pricing per dozen is $1 below our normal pro shop prices. Shipping costs are in addition to the price of the balls: Purchase 1-6 dozen (any company, any imprint), and ship for a flat $3.50. Purchase 7 or more dozen (any company, any imprint) and ship for $0.50/dozen. (If you order fewer than 6 dozen but are able to wait for us to combine orders, you'll be charged the lower rate.) Orders must be placed before December 10th to guarantee holiday delivery.
The 'Glove Club' at Bumble Bee Hollow We are proud to offer one of the largest selections of golf gloves available in Central PA and, to encourage our patrons to become familiar with our product line, have instituted a Glove Club. If you elect to join, you'll be given a membership card which entitles you to a $1 discount off the price of each of the first five (5) gloves you purchase this year. With your 6th glove purchase you'll receive a $5 discount and a token for a free small bucket of range balls ($4 value). Club membership would be an especially great idea for golfing couples or families who purchase multiple gloves over the course of a season. Cards will be honored at either pro shop, but tokens must be used at the facility where dispensed. Our line-up of gloves for 2001 will include the new FootJoy Sta-Sof, the new Mizuno Technew-Fit, the Nike Elite Feel, the Etonic Difference, the Kasco Sure-Fit, the Kasco Weather-Fit, and the Lady Fairway Half Glove.
Warranties & Other Returns – Our Policy For 2001 Because of the large influx of gray and black market golf merchandise which appeared in local retail stores, buyer's clubs and on the Internet just before Christmas - we are implementing a more rigorous return policy than we have had in the past. If you purchased goods from a retailer who has bona fide accounts with the various companies whose product they sold, you will have no problem returning any item which might be defective or later became damaged. The store will be able to get your items repaired or replaced within the parameters of the manufacturers' warranties, which are clearly spelled out in the sales literature. However, if your items were purchased through gray market channels, getting them returned or repaired under warranty through your original retailer may be difficult or impossible. We will be happy to handle your warranty returns when this is the case, but the process of obtaining Return Authorization #'s, boxing, insuring, and mailing is labor intensive and time consuming. We can't afford to do it gratis when we did not make the initial sale. Therefore, our policy is to charge a handling fee of $25 or 10% of our retail price of an item (whichever is greater), plus $5 shipping each way or the actual cost of shipping each way (whichever is greater) if you want us to return an item which was not purchased from us. While we do not expect to make a profit on your transaction, we cannot afford to have it cost us money. We appreciate your cooperation with our sales staff when they ask for proof of purchase. |
